New Small Groups

Have you ever asked yourself: “Am I getting this parenting thing right?!” – we’re sure the answer for all of us at some point has been YES! But we don’t have to constantly doubt if we’re getting it right as a parent – we can live confident and joyful as a family; navigating life together in relationships through parenting.

For this study we will be following Andy & Sandra Stanley’s book Parenting: Getting it Right. We will have books on hand for the group – suggested donation of $15 to reimburse the church for materials.

Join this 7-Week parenting small group on Sunday mornings at 9:30 AM (during first worship service), launching in the Fall 2023 // childcare provided in The Bubble and preschool rooms. Register HERE!

Join Pastor Teanna as we dive into this verse-by-verse study of the Book of James over five weeks, looking at the five chapters of the book. This short letter is one of the earliest books of the New Testament and it is packed full of wisdom that truly challenges our position of living out our faith. James speaks truth about living the faith; it isn’t enough to “talk the talk”, we are called to “walk the walk” too! We will be challenged by the commands that James gives and, prayerfully, activate a part of our faith that we didn’t know we were missing! This study will coincide with Todd Linn’s You’re Either Walking the Walk Or Just Running Your Mouth!,which can be purchased on Amazon but isn’t required for the study group. JOIN US!

We have another opportunity to grow and embrace freedom as it is offered through Jesus Christ, Our Lord. We will study the 12 Steps and Scriptures each week. We will discover God’s will for our lives as we dig deeper within ourselves and our faith. We will we be blessed as these Spiritual Principles, the 12 steps, change our perspective. Our hope and prayer is that we move toward God’s light, with Jesus, with the steps and with each other. Our recovery, our faith and our daily lives will be transformed, slowly, one day at a time. It is a challenging path to walk at times, but how wonderful and eye-opening it can be, when we are willing to do the work.

The Study will be weekly on Sundays beginning Sept 17.
(Childcare will be provided)

This women’s group will be following Kate Bowler and Jessica Richie’s Good Enough: 40ish Devotionals for a Life of Imperfection. From Amazon’s summary, this devotional book is “written gently and with humor, Good Enough is permission for all those who need to hear that there are some things you can fix—and some things you can’t. And it’s okay that life isn’t always better. In these gorgeously written reflections, Bowler and Richie offer fresh imagination for how truth, beauty, and meaning can be discovered amid the chaos of life. Their words celebrate kindness, honesty, and interdependence in a culture that rewards ruthless individualism and blind optimism. Ultimately, in these pages we can rest in the encouragement to strive for what is possible today—while recognizing that though we are finite, the life in front of us can be beautiful.”
