-Powell Church Marriage Workshop-
Beginning January 23, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Don’t you wish when you said, “I do,” someone said, “Great, here’s how!” Whether you are enjoying a deep connection with your partner and want to maintain it or you feel like you and your partner are struggling to talk about simple things, this 10-week workshop will provide you the opportunity to strengthen your relationship. Participation is limited to ten couples. Cost is $100, and light snacks will be provided. Questions or more information contact Jamie Bauknight at firstname.lastname@example.org.
-Made to Crave-
Beginning January 28, Sundays at 9:00am.
In lieu of the typical New Year’s resolution to get healthy and lose weight, choose to make a commitment to improved spiritual health by growing closer to Jesus, and get physically healthier in the process! Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God through the process. Embark on the Made to Crave journey with facilitator Suzanne Bauknight for an initial 7-week study that will change your life! Made to Crave, by Lysa TerKeurst (of Proverbs 31 Ministries), is not a how-to manual or the latest, greatest dieting plan. Made to Crave is a helpful companion to use alongside whatever healthy eating approach you choose — a book and Bible study to help you find the “want to” for making healthy lifestyle changes. The group will meet from 9:00 to 10:30 on Sunday mornings. Questions, email Suzanne at email@example.com. Register no later than January 14. The group will be limited to the first 12 who register.
-Epic of Eden-
Beginning January 17, Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30pm.
The Old Testament of Bible can seem daunting. Many people have even wondered if the God of the Old Testament is the same God of the New Testament. The answer to that is a resounding YES! God is a God of love and grace no matter which part of the Bible we’re most familiar with. Last summer’s Epic of Eden study was such a huge success that we’ve decided to offer this 12 week study again. Questions/signups email firstname.lastname@example.org.
-12 Steps As Spiritual Tools-
Beginning January 21, Sundays from 4-5:30pm in the worship center.
We all hunger for healing. The 12 Steps lead us towards healing through spiritual disciplines such as surrendering to God’s care, acknowledging our shortcomings, reconciling ourselves to God and others, using prayer as a daily tool, and giving back what has so freely been given to us. The 12 steps are not limited to those who struggle with chemical addiction. Anyone hungry for a deeper relationship with God finds hope and healing in the spiritual practices of the 12 steps. Questions, please email Brooke at email@example.com.
-Financial Peace University-
Beginning January 24, Wednesdays at 6:00pm
There’s no better time to take control of your finances than right after the holiday spending sprees! Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University (FPU) is a nine-lesson money management class taught by Dave Ramsey. You will walk through the basics of budgeting, dumping debt, planning for the future and much more. Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck? Time to take action.
