-Covenant Bible Study-
Covenant Bible study is an in-depth study led by associate pastor Martha Atkins. Covenant Bible study is a 24-week study that covers 80% of Bible. It is broken into three 8-week segments that span the fall through the spring. This study is limited to 12 participants and begins early September 2017.
Disciples make disciples. We see this modeled in the way Jesus selected 12 followers to be his disciples and from those 12 he chose 3 to be an even more intimate group of disciples. Through smaller groups of three, Powell Church’s covenant discipleship groups, called “triads,” journey together for 1 to 1 ½ years on a discipleship journey built around relationships, trust, scripture study and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit. These groups begin on an as-needed basis and are flexible in the day and time meetings.
Path groups are long term small groups that meet together weekly for 1-2 years with a focus on deepening your relationship with Jesus through the five essential spiritual disciplines of prayer, presence, gifts, service, and witness. These groups of 4-12 persons are intended to foster growing discipleship through long-term study, honest sharing, accountability, and serving.
